Vilnius  is the capital of Lithuania, and its largest city.  Vilnius is located in the southeast part of Lithuania and is the second biggest city of the Baltic statesVilnius is situated in southeastern Lithuania  at the confluence of the Vilnia and Neris Rivers. Lying close to Vilnius is a site some claim to be theGeographical Centre of Europe. This location is the only one listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the geographical centre of Europe.

Trakai Island Castle (LithuanianTrakų salos pilis) is an island castle located in TrakaiLithuania on an island in Lake Galvė. The castle is sometimes referred to as "Little Marienburg". The construction of the stone castle was begun in the 14th century by Kęstutis, and around 1409 major works were completed by his sonVytautas the Great, who died in this castle in 1430. Trakai was one of the main centres of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and the castle held great strategic importance.












The Cathedral of Vilnius (LithuanianVilniaus Šv. Stanislovo ir Šv. Vladislovo arkikatedra bazilika) is the main Roman Catholic Cathedral of Lithuania.It is situated in Vilnius Old Town, just off of Cathedral Square. Dedicated to Saints Stanislaus and Ladislaus, the church is the heart of Catholic spiritual life in Lithuania. Year consecrated 1783.
