Finland(Northern Ostrobothnia) - Oulunsalo

Oulunsalo is former municipality in the region of Northern Ostrobothnia, in Finland. Along with Haukipudas, Kiiminki and Yli-Ii it lost its municipal status and was merged with the city of Oulu on 1 January 2013.

The Oulunsalo Church is an evangelical Lutheran church in the Finnish city of Oulu. It was part of the town of Oulunsalo until 2013 when that town was merged into Oulu.

The wooden church building has been designed in Gothic Revival style by architect Julius Basilier. The church was built between the years 1888 and 1891 The former Oulunsalo church was destroyed in a fire caused by lightning in the summer 1882.

Finland(Northern Ostrobothnia) - Ylivieska

Ylivieska is a town and municipality of Northern Ostrobothnia region, Finland. It has a population of 14,307 (31 January 2014), and it serves as the administrative centre for Kalajokilaakso and Pyhäjokilaakso, an area with about 90,000 inhabitants. The town is characterized by the Kalajoki River, which runs SE–NW through the town centre. The agricultural and economical area of the Kalajoki river basin is known as Kalajokilaakso.
Building of the present church was finished in 1786. There are 700 seats. The church was designed by Pekka Raudaskoski. The main reparations and paintings have been carried out by architect Julius Basilier in 1892, architect Kaj Englund in 1957, engineer Veikko Sorvisto in 1981 and architect Jari Reponen in 1991.

Oulu  is a city and municipality of 193,902 inhabitants (31 January 2014) in the region of Northern Ostrobothnia, in Finland. It is the most populous city in Northern Finland and the fifth most populous city in the country. It is one of the northernmost larger cities in the world. Oulu is considered one of Europe's "living labs", where residents experiment with new technology (such as NFC tags and ubi-screens) at a community-wide scale.
