Taiwan - Taichung

Taichung officially known as Taichung City, is a special municipality located in central Taiwan. Taichung has a population of approximately 2.8 million people and has been officially ranked as Taiwan's second most populous city since July 2017. It serves as the core of the Taichung–Changhua metropolitan area, which is the second largest metropolitan area of Taiwan. The current city was formed when Taichung County merged with the original provincial Taichung City to form the special municipality on 25 December 2010.
Located in the Taichung Basin, the name of the city was created under Japanese rule, and became a major economic and cultural hub. Originally composed of several scattered hamlets, the city of Taichung was planned and developed by the Japanese.^[ It was called "the Kyoto of Formosa" in Japanese era because of its calm and beauty. The city is home to the National Museum of Natural Science, the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts, the National Taichung Theater, the National Library of Public Information, and the National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra, as well as many cultural sites, including the historic Taichung Park, the Lin Family Gardens, and many temples.

Taiwan - New Taipei City

New Taipei City is a special municipality and the most populous city in Taiwan. Located in northern Taiwan, the city includes a substantial stretch of the island's northern coastline and surrounds the Taipei Basin, making it the second largest special municipality by area, behind Kaohsiung. New Taipei City is bordered by Keelung to the northeast, Yilan County to the southeast, and Taoyuan to the southwest. It completely surrounds Taipei. Banqiao District is its municipal seat and biggest commercial area. Until 2010, the area that roughly corresponds to the present New Taipei City was known as Taipei County.

The Lin Ben Yuan Family Mansion and Garden in Banqiao District, New Taipei City, Taiwan was a residence built by the Lin Ben Yuan Family. It is Taiwan's most complete surviving example of traditional Chinese garden architecture. The Lin Family Mansion and Garden — along with the Tainan Wu Garden, Hsinchu Beiguo Garden (新竹北郭園), and Wufeng Lin Family Mansion and Garden — are collectively known as the Four Great Gardens of Taiwan (台灣四大名園). This residence can be traced back to 1847, at the time a "rent house" for the Lin Ben Yuan family in the north. It was later expanded by the brothers Lin Guohua (zh) and Lin Guofang (zh), becoming the residence of the Lin Ben Yuan family. Currently, the Lin Family Mansion and Garden is under the joint responsibility of the Executive Yuan Cultural Construction Committee, Ministry of the Interior, Ministry of Transportation and Communications Tourism Bureau, Taiwan Provincial Government, and the New Taipei City Government for protection and restoration work, who have additionally designated it as a Class-2 Historical Site.

The Lin Family Mansion and Garden has a surface area of approximately 20,000 square metres (4.9 acres). The garden is also referred to as the Banqiao Lin Family Garden (板橋林家花園). The Three-Courtyard Mansion to the west of the garden belongs to the Lin Family Sacrificial Trade Association. It is necessary to have a tour guide lead to enter the mansion's interior.

Taiwan - Penghu

The Penghu or Pescadores Islands are an archipelago of 90 islands and islets in the Taiwan Strait. The largest city is Magong, located on the largest island, which is also named Penghu. Covering an area of 141 square kilometers (54 sq mi), the archipelago collectively forms Penghu County of the Republic of China (Taiwan), and is the second smallest county, after Lienchiang.
The Penghu Great Bridge or Penghu Trans-Oceanic Bridge is a bridge in Penghu County, Taiwan. It connects Siyu Island and Baisha Main Island.
The idea of the bridge construction came after knowing the sea current between Siyu Island and Baisha Main Island was too harsh to sail. The construction of the bridge began in 1965 and was completed in 1970. The bridge was expanded in 1984 due to its erosion and collapse because of the sea wind. On 1 January 1996, it was re-inaugurated as two-lane road bridge
The bridge was initially 2,478 meter long and 5.1 meters wide. But after renovation and expansion, it becomes 2,494 meters long and 13 meters wide. It has 7 emergency space along the path.

The Double-heart of Stacked Stones (Chinese: 七美雙心石滬; pinyin: Qīměi Shuāng Xīn Shí Hù) or the Twin-Heart Fish Trap is a stone weir located on the north side of Qimei Township, Penghu County, Taiwan. It is a well-preserved ancient fish trap made by stacking stones to form a trap that resembles a flying heart. 

The Erkan Chen Residence is a former residence in Erkan Village, Xiyu Township, Penghu County, Taiwan belongs to the Chen family.
The residence was built in 1910 by brother Chen Ling and Chen Bang with the cost around NT$8,000 to 9000.
The residence was built with the classic southern Fujian style, featuring relief carvings, windows, doors and eaves. It forms a rectangular shape over an area of 330 m² which includes three halls.

Taiwan - Donggang

Donggang Township or Tungkang Township is an urban township in west-central Pingtung County, Taiwan. Located on Taiwan's western coastline, along the Taiwan Strait, it has one of Taiwan's largest fishing harbors. Dapeng Bay with its national scenic area is just south of Donggang. The town also has East Haven Palace of Eastern Prosperity (Chinese: 東隆宮; pinyin: Dōnglóng gōng, literally Donglong Temple), which worships "Royal Lord Wen" (Chinese: 溫王爺; pinyin: Wēn wángyé. The word Wen is pronounced the same as "plague" in Chinese), and is known for its triannual ceremony of "burning king's boat" (burning plague boat).

Taiwan - Taipei

Taipei, officially known as Taipei City is the capital of Taiwan. Situated at the northern tip of Taiwan, Taipei is located on the Tamsui River; it is about 25 km (16 mi) southwest of Keelung, a port city on the Pacific Ocean. It lies in the Taipei Basin, an ancient lakebed bounded by the two relatively narrow valleys of the Keelung and Xindian rivers, which join to form the Tamsui River along the city's western border.

The Alishan National Scenic Area is a mountain resort and natural preserve located in the mountains of Chiayi County in Taiwan. It is 415 km² in area. It includes, among other things, mountain wilderness, four villages, waterfalls, high altitude tea plantations, the Alishan Forest Railway, and several hiking trails. The area is popular among tourists and mountain climbers, and Alishan, or Mount Ali, itself has become one of the major landmarks associated with Taiwan. The area is also famous for its production of high mountain tea and wasabi.

Taiwan - Tainan

Tainan (臺南 or 台南; literally "Southern Taiwan"), officially known as Tainan City, is a city in southern Taiwan. It is the oldest city in Taiwan, governed as a special municipality. Tainan faces the Taiwan Strait in the west and south. Tainan's complex history of comebacks, redefinitions and renewals inspired its popular nickname "the Phoenix City"

Fort Zeelandia was a fortress built over ten years from 1624 to 1634 by the Dutch East India Company (VOC), in the town of Anping (Tainan) on the island of Formosa (present-day Taiwan), during their 38-year rule over the western part of that island. Although the site was previously named Orange City (奧倫治城), Anping City (安平城), and Taiwan City (台灣城), the current name of the site in Chinese is Anping Fort (安平古堡).
