Italy - Perugia

Perugia is the capital city of both the region of Umbria in central Italy, crossed by the river Tiber, and of the province of Perugia. The city is located about 164 kilometres (102 miles) north of Rome and 148 km (92 miles) southeast of Florence. It covers a high hilltop and part of the valleys around the area. The region of Umbria is bordered by Tuscany, Lazio, and Marche.
Lake Trasimeno  is a lake in the province of Perugia, in the Umbria region of Italy on the border with Tuscany. The lake is south of the river Po and north of the nearby river Tiber, has a surface area of 128 km² (49.4 sq mi) and is the fourth for surface area in Italy. (It is slightly smaller than Lake Como.) Only two minor streams flow directly into the Lake and none flows out. The water level of the lake fluctuates significantly according to rainfall levels and the seasonal demands from the towns, villages and farms near the shore.

Venice  is a city in northeastern Italy and the capital of the Veneto region. It is situated on a group of 118 small islands^[3] that are separated by canals and linked by over 400 bridges.^[3][4] The islands are located in the shallow Venetian Lagoon, an enclosed bay that lies between the mouths of the Po and the Piave rivers (more exactly between the Brenta and the Sile).

Italy - Bologna

The Fountain of Neptune (Italian: Fontana di Nettuno) is a monumental civic fountain located in the eponymous square, Piazza del Nettuno, next to Piazza Maggiore, in Bologna, Italy Its bronze figure of Neptune, extending his reach in a lordly gesture of stilling and controlling the waters, is an early work by Giambologna, completed about 1567.

Italy - Piacenza

Piacenza is a city and comune in the Emilia-Romagna region of northern Italy. It is the capital of the province of Piacenza. Piacenza is located at a major crossroads at the intersection of Route E35/A1 between Bologna and Milan, and Route E70/A21 between Brescia and Tortona. Piacenza is also at the confluence of the Trebbia, draining the northern Apennines, and the Po, draining to the east. Piacenza also hosts two universities, Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore and Politecnico di Milano.

Italy - Bergamo

Bergamo is a city and commune in Lombardy, Italy, about 40 km (25 mi) northeast of Milan. It is served by the Orio al Serio Airport, which also serves the Province of Bergamo and the metropolitan area of Milan. The foothills of the Alps begin immediately north of the town. With 239,022 arrivals, Bergamo is the second most visited city in Lombardy after Milan.

Italy - Trieste

Trieste is a city and seaport in northeastern Italy. Trieste Cathedral (Italian: Cattedrale di San Giusto), dedicated to Saint Justus, is the cathedral and main church of Trieste, in northern Italy. It is the seat of the Bishop of Trieste. The first religious edifice on the site was built in the 6th century on some Roman propylaea, using part of the existing structure.

Italy - Taormina

Taormina (Sicilian: Taurmina, Greek: Ταυρομένιον Tauromenion, Latin: Tauromenium) is a comune and small town on the east coast of the island of Sicily, Italy, in theProvince of Messina, about midway between Messina and Catania. Taormina has been a very popular tourist destination since the 19th century. It has popular beaches (accessible via an aerial tramway) on the Ionian sea, which is remarkably warm and has a high salt content. Taormina can be reached via highways (autostrade) from Messina from the north and Catania from the south.

Italy - Rome

Rome  is a city and special comune (named "Roma Capitale") in Italy. Rome is the capital of Italy and also of the Province of Rome and of the region of Lazio. Although the city centre is about 24 kilometres (15 mi) inland from the Tyrrhenian Sea, the city territory extends to the shore, where the south-western district of Ostia is located. The altitude of the central part of Rome ranges from 13 metres (43 ft) above sea level (at the base of the Pantheon) to 139 metres (456 ft) above sea level (the peak of Monte Mario). The Comune of Rome covers an overall area of about 1,285 square kilometres (496 sq mi), including many green areas.

 The Scala Sancta (English: Holy Stairs, Italian: Scala Santa) are a set of 28 white marble steps located within a building in southeast Rome under the management of the Vatican.The steps, long encased in a protective framework of wooden steps, are located in a building that incorporates part of the old Lateran Palace. The stairs lead to the Sancta Sanctorum(English: Holy of Holies), the personal chapel of the early Popes known as the chapel of St. Lawrence.

Italy - Orbassano

Orbassano is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Turin in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 15 kilometres (9 miles) southwest of Turin. The most famous local is Sonia Gandhi, who was raised here, although she was actually born in Lusiana, near Vicenza.

Italy - Cagliari

Cagliari  is an Italian municipality and the capital of the island of Sardinia, an Autonomous Region ofItaly. Cagliari's Sardinian name Casteddu literally means castle. The city of Cagliari is situated in the south of Sardinia, overlooking the center of the eponymous gulf, also called Golfo degli Angeli ("Bay of Angels") after an ancient legend. The city is spread over and around the hill of the historic district of Castello, and other nine limestone hills of the middle-late Miocene, unique heights of a little more than 100 metres (330 ft) above sea level on the long plains of Campidano.
