Brunswick is the major urban and economic center in lower southeastern Georgia, United States. Brunswick is also the second-largest urban area on Georgia’s coast, after Savannah, and is the seat of government for Glynn County. It contains the Brunswick Old Town Historic District. Brunswick is located in southeastern Georgia, approximately halfway between Jacksonville and Savannah. The city is located at the apex of the bight of the Georgia coast, the westernmost point on the Atlantic seaboard, and is naturally sheltered by two barrier islands, Jekyll and St. Simons. The city is situated on a peninsula with the East River and the Turtle River to the west, the Brunswick River to the south, and the Intracoastal Waterway to the east. An abundance of salt marshes separate the city from the Intracoastal Waterway, which passes between Brunswick and the barrier islands. The East River separates Brunswick from Andrews Island, a dredge spoil-site.

Augusta–Richmond County is a consolidated city-county in the U.S. state of Georgia, located at the fall line of the Savannah River, at the head of its navigable portion. Augusta is located about halfway up the Savannah River on the fall line, which creates a number of small falls on the river. The city marks the end of a navigable waterway for the river and the entry to the Georgia Piedmont area.
Riverwalk Augusta (also known as the Augusta Riverwalk) is a city park along the Savannah River in downtown Augusta, in the U.S. state of Georgia. The park is alongside and on top of Augusta's levee. It extends from 11th Street to the Gordon Highway bridge. Sites along the Riverwalk include St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Fort Discovery, and theMorris Museum of Art.
