The Philip Church in Leipzig-Lindenau was built in the years 1907 to 1910 to plans by the Leipzig architects Alfred Müller. The only church in central Germany it was designed according to the specifications of the "Wiesbaden building program" as a community center: The church should gathered around the main liturgical pieces altar, pulpit, baptism and organ, be the worship space through the adjacent community space expandable. The decorated with ornaments of Art Nouveau church has a preserved almost in its original state Jehmlich romantic organ.
Right on Karl Heine Canal in the west of Leipzig is the Philip ensemble. For more than a decade, the listed church was no longer used as the communities of Lindenau and Plagwitz joined and now share the nearby Church of the Redeemer. Despite efforts took place in recent years, no viable plan to bring life back into the house.
